Emely grew up in London, Ontario. She completed an Honours Specialization in International Relations and a Major in French Studies from the University of Western Ontario in 2011. She attended the University of Ottawa for law school and competed the Programme de droit Canadien in 2015, a concurrent common law and civil degree program which requires students to complete at least 70% of their course load in the French language. Emely completed part of her articles with the Ombudsman of National Defence and another part with a small law firm in London. She was called to the Bar in 2018 and her practice with the Firm will be primarily involve civil litigation matters for individuals and business with a focus on employment law and commercial litigation. Emely is also fluent and able to provide legal services to clients of the Firm in English, French and Spanish.

In addition to her legal training, Emely has been a member of the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve since 2007 and has served as a Human Resources and Finance Manager. Her training has taken her all over Canada and has instilled in her a strong work ethic and specific attention to detail. Emely regularly engages in public speaking events for the Naval Reserve unit in London and has also been featured in nationally published videos and promotional materials.
